DC comic was not popular in Taiwan. Therefore, only few people concerned about this movie when it was released. Frankly speaking, it was not easy for us to watch this movie (I know many friends don't want to see it due to Batman cartoons and his costume. )
What a pity by missing this surprise!
"The most difficult part is you have to let the audience focus on the story and impress by batman without laughing on his strange costume."
But Nolan did it!
Not only let Batman become realistic, but also touch those who have "Big Dream" in there life.
Do you have a big dream?
Have you ever met any obstacle? The one that would not just broke your bone, but also burned your soul and cast your willing to survive far away?
If you do, then Batman Begins could produce a great echo in your mind
Bruce Wayne came from the best family in Gotham city. Infinite money, loving parents and friends surrounded in his life.
One day, he fell into a well and attacked by lots of bats. Loneliness and fear devour him ,he was so helpless to face so many scary things. This experience redefine Bruce Wayne and change his life.
However, the most tragic thing was about to happened to him. His merciful parents was shot by the person they helped: a beggar, for rubbing them.
Parents just died in front of little Bruce. As the mournful tragedy happened, his heart and his world were collapsed. At that night he just like fell into the well again, and this time father won't come for him. Great evil and depression flow to him and start to nibble up him.
He also met goodness ,young police man Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) helped Bruce to rebuild his confidence.
With the support from loyal servant- Alfred (Michael Caine), Bruce found the willing to survive again. Nonetheless, he didn't notice that he was overwhelmed by hatred.
So it burst.
Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) lost himself.
He didn't want to be a slave of hatred at all. So he begin a long journey. In order to find himself , conquer fear and the way to fulfill his father's willing: let Gotham citizen had happiness.
About the movie itself
This was the fourth movie by Nolan. Meanwhile, his first commercial movie. Assembling by Warner Brother, Nolan get huge amount of budget that he never get before. But challenge still follow to him. As a commercial movie, he can't do everything he want, and he had to deal with "Big" scene such as numerous police and thugs fighting together.
Before the film released, everybody was despise on this movie since the last series of Batman was a disaster.
Those who was expected Nolan to be ruined would be disappointed. Because he restart the plan and do make a new milestone of comic hero movie (you can see his affluence on 007: skyfall and Iron Man 3)
Although it was not a great success, Nolan really built a new Batman for us!
Reception
Some audiences thought that it was far more boring than The Dark Knight . On the aspect of visual effect, I agree. Nevertheless, Nolan was always trying to build a world , a world that was so sophisticated and breath taking, this time he review Batman in Batman Begins to suit Bruce Wayne in his world.
Nolan spent lots of time to make a portrait of Bruce Wayne, and let everyone of us project on him. I would say it was inspirational movie for those who have big dream.
No matter how various of the comments, Nolan really change both the position of Bruce Wayne and comic hero movies.
Gadgets
Unlike Tim Burton's Batman. Christopher Nolan chose a different way to explain Batman : Made him real.

As a mortal, without superpower, Batman use his fortune to make him became a ideal in everyone's heart. To make these come true, Batman's gadgets, weapon, costume and vehicle must to redesign:
This vehicle (Tumbler) and Batman's gadgets were made without CGI. (As Nolan always like to)
Frustration ? Guilty ? Anger ? Benevolence?
Pain.
What a complex word. I supposed that pain was not how difficult you are facing now. It depended on how much you fall.
Wayne's pain drag himself into the darkest place in the world. In his journey, he met lots of people. These people, I supposed , was different emotion he had in his mind. Ever character who inspired him took a vital position in his mind.
For example: His teacher represented as anger and revenge.
At last these people redefine Bruce Wayne, let him find out what should he devote to.
